Unusual Looking Worm

by Tracy Roman
(Phoenix Arizona)

I once encountered a very unusual worm. It was about 3 inches long and half an inch fat. It had a very pointed head.

It was crawling on an arm chair, and when it wanted to get to the arm chair next to it, its head elevated off the chair and started to sway.

Then it flipped itself over, throwing its back portion of its body over onto the next arm chair.

I saw this worm in Durban, South Africa. I was wondering if you knew what type of worm it was, and if it was in fact a worm, or a small snake.

PS: It's color was Dark brown, to black.

Unusual Looking Worm
by: Pauly

Hello Tracy,

Well, I'm stumped on this one. It would really help if you had a pic for me to look at but to answer your question, no.

I have not ever seen or heard of a worm (if that is what it is) like this before. Sorry.

If anyone reading knows what this might be please let Tracy and I know.

Would be nice to know if it's friend or foe.

Pauly
